We’re pleased to announce that powerful new search technology has been added to ProDemand™, delivering complete OEM and experience-based information together in a single lookup. The new 1Search™ feature is included in the latest release of ProDemand and will roll out to customers in phases, so you will be seeing some changes in the product soon. Below is the new view of the modules and tips for how best to use them.
Previously, you searched through ProDemand to get the OEM information for the vehicle you were working on, and then clicked into the separate SureTrack module to access diagnostic and experience-based information. Now, every time you search for diagnostic trouble codes, components or symptoms, you will receive the complete OEM information from ProDemand, as well as detailed parts replacement records, tips and Real Fixes from SureTrack.
The Home, Estimate Guide, Quotes, Maintenance, SureTrack and Vintage Modules still function similarly as before. The New Search feature will allow you to search all of ProDemand and SureTrack by typing in a Code, Component or Symptom Search term. It generates a return of the data that meets that search criteria. Notice that you will see at new Search module and the word “Search” added to the Codes and Components modules in the main menu (below).
The Code Search will focus the search and return trouble code related data.
The Component Search offers an index view presenting search terms you can select or that match the term typed in the Search box. You have the option of typing in your search term or pointing clicking on a component. You can filter the various items using the category list on the left (see #1 in screen shot below).
All Search returns will organize the data into the familiar tabs (Descriptions, Locations, Procedures, Diagrams and Specs) shown above, as well as two new additional tabs, Additional Articles and SureTrack (see #2 above).
The Additional Articles (abbreviated as “Add’l Articles) Tab provides supplementary related data that is not found in the other tabs – see below.
TIP: To return to the component index after performing a Component Search, click the “x” next to the search term to close the search results.
